2010 is going to be a great year, I know it, but whats coming to Disney that we have to look forward to? Well, first we are going to dive into movies starting with the most anticipated disney movie since Princess and The Frog

That’s Right:

A movie directed by Tim Burton, sure to be a delight. Coming out March 5th, 2010.

Next we have whats coming to the parks in 2010.

I’m not prejudiced but I am only doing the U.S. theme parks right now, as that is what I know and love.

Let’s Start In DisneyLand:

One Major Thing Coming To Disneyland California Adventure Is The World Of Color.

Disney’s World of Color is a new night time show scheduled to premiere in late April 2010 at Disney’s California Adventure, part of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Designed by Walt Disney Creative Entertainment, this show is planned to have 1200 fountain nozzles with 1200 individually controlled underwater LEDs, one for each nozzle, and is scheduled to include lasers, lights, & fire with a water spray backdrop screen similar to the ones used in Fantasmic! atDisneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.Amy Grant will be the signature voice for the show. With the exception of New Years events, this will be the first show on Paradise Bay since LuminAria in 2001.

Though that’s not all, thats one of the huger developments, so we are going to head over to Walt Disney World.

Though nothing is set in stone, a few things are being predicted to happen in the next year. The backlot tour may possibly be done as will honey i shrunk the kids movie playset and some of the backlot areas, possibly for a monsters incorporated roller coaster? I sure hope so. Also Star Tours 2 will be opening in 2011, but work will probably begin soon. Also, I would expect that toontown will be going sometime in 2010 to start work on the big fantasyland expansion.

It’s going to be a great year filled with excitement all over orlando, not just in Disney. From SeaWorld being bought out by blackstone, to Wizarding World Of Harry Potter opening, its sure to be an overwhelming year in the history of amusement parks.
